Sherwood's Flowers and Gifts is a locally, family-owned florist in historic downtown Covington, Georgia. Sherwood's was established in 1946 by Mr. and Mrs. Aubra Sherwood. In 1966, the shop was purchased by another husband/wife team, Darvin and Rita White. The White family has worked to continue the reputation and legacy of high standards begun by the Sherwoods. Now, nearly 70 years since Sherwood's beginning, that work ethic and family tradition and is still alive and well. The shop is now owned and operated by the second and third generations of the White family. Sherwood's has an accomplished staff of trained floral designers and salespersons eager to please each customer with a unique arrangement. We offer a large variety of fresh cut flowers and plants purchased from local Atlanta wholesalers and southern growers. We are a tradtional floral shop that has grown to accomodate the changing needs of our community. At Sherwood's, we are always eager to discover new trends, while also having a deep understanding of the classic traditions and styles. In addition to flowers, we also have a variety of gift items on display in our large showroom. A local delivery fee of 10.00 will be added to each order, for each address. Orders should be received by 12:00 pm for same day delivery. Delivery fees for rural areas may differ slightly from our standard delivery fee.
Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
